Saveetha College of Nursing conducts session on obstetrical emergencies
Saveetha College of Nursing (SIMATS) organised the state level workshop for the students to identify and manage obstetrical emergencies as per protocol. The welcome address was given by Dr.G.Bhuvaneshwari (HOD of Community Health Nursing Department). Dr.S.KalaBarathi (Principal of Saveetha College of Nursing) started the first session on obstetric emergencies.
She explained all the obstetrical emergencies in brief and enlisted the workshop theme and objectives. Second Session was dealt by P. Jemima Jayakumari (Principal of Arulmigu Meenakshi College of Nursing) on obstetrics emergencies readiness in detail. Third session was dealt by Dr. Nidhi Sharma (Professor of Saveetha Medical College and Hospital) on Drill on Postpartum Haemorrhage. Fourth session was dealt by Dr.S.Vasantha (Principal of Bhaarath College of Nursing) on Shoulder Dystocia drill. Dr. S.J.Nalini (Principal of Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Nursing, SRIHER, Porur) gave a fifth session on Eclampsia Management Training. Sixth session was dealt by Prof.Dr.G.Karpagavalli (Vice Principal of Tagore College of Nursing) on Breech Manoeuvres. Last session was dealt by J. Jagadeeswari (Assistant Professor, Saveetha College of Nursing, SIMATS) on Manual Removal of placenta.
All the presentation were more innovative, informative and very useful session. The session which was described were lively demonstrated with the station. Finally, the session ended with clarification of doubts of the participants. Certificate was distributed to the participants. The vote of thanks was given by J. Jagadeeswari (Assistant Professor, Saveetha College of Nursing, SIMATS.
