The Manavar Thoodhar (Student Ambassador) Training Program -2022 was organised by Alpha Arts & Science College, Porur  in association with the Government of Tamil Nadu, Department of Tamil Development, Senthamizh Etymology Akaramudhali Project Directorate, and Thedal Kalam Foundation on Oct. 29 in the college premises.
The event was presided over by Dr. Sivasankar Arumugam (Principal of the College). Dr.Tamizharasi Kothaimarban (Head, Department of Tamil) welcomed the gathering. Seva Ratna Dr.Grace George (Founder & Patron of Alpha Group of Institutions) and Suja George (Vice-Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions) felicitated the students.
Tamil Chemmal Nandivaram P. Sampathkumar, Founder, Thedal Kalam impressed the students about the project and the students involvement to see the progress of their contribution. Dr.K.Vijayaraghavan (Director, Agaramudhali Directorate) gave a detailed special speech about the project and motivated the students to participate and contribute to the development of the same.
Dr.Poongundran gave training on Linguistics – Etymology. Dr. D. Balasubramanian gave training on the art of translation and Dr. Na. Sulochana (Assistant Professor, IITS) on terminology in literature. Dr.V. Prabhu and Editor K.Tamilmani were present at the event. S.Gayathri of IIBT, proposed vote of thanks.
