National Green Corps (NGC) in association with Tamilnadu Pollution Control Board, Chennai office organised a safe and pollution free diwali awareness for 850 students in children’s garden school, Mylapore. Thangaraj (District Coordinator, NGC) and  Dr.Jayamurugan (District Environmental Engineer) explained the court directions and Govt. instructions with respect to fire crackers during Diwali and the precautions to be followed including the timings and to minimize the noise and air pollutions.
Also a pledge was taken to follow the guidelines. An awareness song was also sung by Eco club students and distributed awareness pamphlets.
