Aarthi from Porur wins a title of Maven Miss Plus Size – South India

The dazzling Maven Ms Plus Size India pageant was held in New Delhi at Taj Vivanta, Dwarkaamid glitterati from different walks of life.
Hardeep Arora is the Founder of Maven Production and renowned pageant organizer. This pageant, a signature event of Maven Production had exclusive appearance of Rohit Verma, celebrity Fashion designer from Mumbai, Rita Gangwani, renowned international pageant coach who trained Manushi Chillar for Miss World 2017.
The other celebrity jury included Aman Grewal, Mrs. India Worldwide 2014 &amp., Lifecoach, Fizah Khan, a celebrity plus size blogger &amp., MTV actress, Cheena Marwaha, a celebrity makeup artist and Simrat Kathuria, an expert dietician and nutritionist.
As many as 80 plus size models across India participated in the pageant.The auditions happened across India, chosen contestants was invited to New Delhi for Semifinals and Grand finale which was conducted in three magnificently laid out rounds.
The first round was ethnic wear, where the plus size models sashayed down the ramp in beautiful Indian attires.
The second round was models wearing western designer wear. Evening gowns was the final one and the models were in their ravishing best in this.
Aarthi Priyankhaa, (Residing at Porur) a Chennai based HR professional was crowned Maven’s Plus Size – Miss South India 2022 and Miss Evershine and she is the first Plus size model to win this pageant from Tamil Nadu.
Aarthi says growing up as a chubby kid the very idea of shopping used to be a nightmare to her. The casual taunts and body shaming was something she needs to live with all her life. She says, 2022 has been a year of transformation for her and participated in the pageant to challenge her own beliefs and limits. Winning the crown has only reinforced her to belief that never ignore that little intuitive nudge in your heart, accept and love yourself unapologetically and your magic awaits outside your comfort zone.
Aarthi dedicates this crown to all men, women and youngsters who are plus size, less size, too dark or too fair, too tall or too short for this society’s standard of beauty.
