Malarvanam emagazine’s award function was held on September 4 at Rajan Eye Care Hospital Auditorium. 32 awards were presented in the event. Life Time Achievement awards to Sr. Artist Ramu of Thuklak and Telugu cartoonist Dr Jayadev Babu. Artist Shyam was honoured with Thoorigai Mannar Chandamama Sankar award. Upcoming artists were also honoured in the event. 
Writers Prabhu Sankar, Kanchinathan, SuSri, Geeta Elango, Dhayalan were honoured.
The chief guests are Artist J (Jayaraj), Artist Maniam Selvan,  Ravi Thamizhvanan of Manimaygalai prasuram and writer NC Mohandas.
Malarvanam Editor cartoonist Ramki (Porur) welcomed the gathering, MC by Uma Prem and Iswarya Sriram.
The vote of thanks was given by Sridharan. IWEAR safety glasses were given to all participants and delicious dinner was hosted by Kumaravel Ramaswamy of Sai Sankara Catering, Chromepet.
