The Residents’ Welfare Association, Lakshmi Nagar Extension, celebrated the 75th Independence day at LNE playground , Porur.
The hoisting and unfurling of the national flag was by the team of Urbaser Sanitary Workers deputed for Lakshmi Nagar Extension. They jointly did the honours along with the office bearers.
The team was also honoured with momentos for their untiring and dedicated services.
The programme started with LNE mini marathon with over 130 participants at 6.30 am and the flag hoisting was at 8.30 am.
The meritorious students of class 10th and 12th of Lakshmi Nagar Extension were recognised with a token of love and affection and were awarded cash prizes.
Prizes were distributed to students for Oratorical and Essay writing competitions. The Office bearers –
