An event of Reverse Run, Say No to Plastic Bags and Make Manjappai A Habit was held at Besant Nagar Elliot’s Beach on July 2.
MA.Subramanian (Minister for Health and Family Welfare of Tamilnadu) was the chief guest and firstly started the reverse run event with students. Maheshkumar (Deputy Mayor of Chennai), Col.Jarnail Singh (Commander, NCC group Headquarters Madras “A”), Dr.Vaneeta Agarwal (Coordinator-Nss Programme) and Dr.B Uma Maheswari (Principal, Queen Mary’s College) were the guests of honour.
Many of the college students and some of the social activist also took part in the event.
Queen Mary’s College and Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain college have gave their great support to the event. In the event all the participants were suppose to wear a t-shirt which was issued by the event managing authorities to show the unity.
A Special program Musical Fitness warm up was conducted by Simu George, who is a winner of Ms Wellness International 2021 Best fitness Model 2021 for boosting up the energy of the participants for the event.
The event was gets over by issuing of world record certificates and manjapai to every participants followed by an oath Say no to plastic and use Manjapai.
