Radhatri Nethralaya conducted its 14^th annual Diwali workshop on first aid for firecracker injuries to the eyes on Oct.27 at its main branch in T. Nagar. 65 school students and 30 teachers from 20 schools in Chennai attended and benefited from the hands on workshop conducted by Dr. Vasumathy Vedantham, Medical Director, Radhatri Nethralaya.
The students enacted out several scenarios of cracker injuries under her expert guidance. All the participating students received certificates of participation, pamphlets to be distributed in their respective schools and first aid kits from the hands of the chief guest Rajasthan Rathna Shri Subash Chand Ranka, a known philanthropist and entrepreneur. Dr. Praveen Krishna, Medical Director Radhatri Nethralaya said that this was the 14^th time Radhatri Nethralaya was conducting this workshop with thousands of students benefitting till date.
