Rajeshwari Avenue Residents Welfare Association (Ponni Street, EVP Rajeshwari Avenue, Madhanandhapuram) celebrated 80th Independence Day.  Radhakrishnan (Deputy Commissioner of Police) and Selvendran (156th Ward councillor) were the chief guests of the event.
The programme started with Tamilthai Vazhthu and the National Flag was hoisted by Robinson (Former President, Rajeshwari Avenue Residents Welfare Association) and Sivashankaran (Association Advisor) were hoisted the National Flag at Ponni Park. Rangoli Kolam and flag thoranams decoration was done by K. Palani, TSN.Murthy family members, SujathaRani and Saravanan in the park. Sports and Event committee members, Saranya, Ilakkiya, Nasiba and Gomathi were organised the sports & cultural events. The sports event was started at 3pm.
M. RadhaKrishnan (Deputy Commissioner of Police) and Selvendran (156th Ward councillor) were distributed prizes for the participants.
Medals and Trophy were given to the winners. Special gifts are also given to all participants. Kids received unique gifts to encourage their participation in extracurricular activities.
