Chennai, August 3, 2026: The Saveetha Hospitality Institute of Food & Tourism (SHIFT), Thandalam, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Feathers Radha Hotel, Manapakkam, on August 3, marking a significant step towards strengthening industry–academia collaboration in hospitality education.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Dr. T. Milton, Principal, SHIFT, and  Yuvaraj, Associate Professor, SHIFT. Representing Feathers Radha Hotel were  Sriram, Chief Operating Officer, Amitesh Kumar, Hotel Manager, and  Tariq Hussain, Training Manager.
The partnership aims to provide students with enhanced opportunities in industrial training, campus placements, guest lectures, workshops, live demonstrations, and Outdoor Catering (ODC) exposure, enabling them to gain practical industry experience alongside academic learning.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. T. Milton stated that the collaboration reflects SHIFT’s commitment to bridging the gap between classroom education and industry expectations through meaningful partnerships with leading hospitality organizations.
The MoU is expected to benefit students by improving their employability, professional competencies, and industry readiness while fostering long-term cooperation between Saveetha University and Feathers Radha Hotel.
