Throwball girls team of  Velammal Main School, Mogappair Campus represented the Thiruvallur District Team and  bagged  the Gold in the Sub-Junior State Throwball  Championship for (U-14) girls category held at Dindugul between Feb 11 and Feb 13.
This State Level event was organised by Dindugal District Throwball Association where 18 teams from different districts across the state participated.
The girls team acclaimed victory with scores 15-12, 15-7 in the finals and received certificates and gold medals.
