Saveetha Hospitality Institute – Food & Tourism (SHIFT), SIMATS, Thandalam, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Associated Tours Madras Pvt. Ltd. on July 5. The MoU was signed by Dr. T. Milton, Principal, SHIFT, and Suseendran, CEO, Associated Tours Madras Pvt. Ltd. The partnership aims to strengthen industry–institute collaboration in the field of tourism and hospitality. It will facilitate guest lectures by industry experts, internships, industrial visits, and practical training for students. The collaboration will also enhance placement opportunities and skill development initiatives. Joint workshops, seminars, and career guidance programmes will be organized regularly. Students will gain valuable exposure to travel agency operations and tourism management practices. The MoU reflects SHIFT’s commitment to providing industry-oriented education and experiential learning. This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance the employability and professional competencies of SHIFT students.
