The faculty members of Saveetha Hospitality Institute – Food & Tourism (SHIFT), SIMATS, Thandalam, participated in a Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on June 26 of “Innovative Pedagogies and AI Tools for Hospitality and Tourism Education.”The programme was conducted by Dr. Sudhakar, Principal, Saveetha Pedagogical Institute of Education and Research (SPIER), SIMATS. The session highlighted the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in hospitality and tourism education.Key topics included AI-powered pedagogy, generative AI simulations, personalized learning,virtual teaching assistants, ethical use of AI, and industry-academia collaboration. Dr. Sudhakar emphasized the need to equip students with future-ready skills through innovative teaching methods.The FDP provided practical insights into integrating AI technologies into classroom teaching and enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes.
