On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), Saveetha Hospitality Institute – Food and Tourism (SHIFT), Thandalam, organized a series of environmental awareness activities on June 10, at SHIFT School, Saveetha Nagar, Kuthambakkam. The programme was conducted under the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Community outreach initiative with the theme “Our Earth, Our Future – Think Green, Live Clean.” Fifteen students and faculty members actively participated in the event. The activities included a Poster Presentation on Sustainability and Environment, a Food Wastage Awareness Session, and a Quiz Competition on Sustainability and Environment. The programme aimed to promote environmental literacy and sustainable living practices among school students. Participants gained valuable insights into environmental conservation and responsible resource utilization. The event successfully encouraged students to become environmentally conscious citizens and contribute towards a greener future.
