Medha Gurukulam organises an event on Traditional Education and its relevance today
Medha Gurukulam, a unique Shastra Gurukulam in Nanganallur, organized an event on “Traditional Education and its relevance today” on Apr. 13 at Ranjani Hall, Nanganallur. The Gurukulam has 20 boys and girl students, who are full time doing such studies, both residential and day-scholars.
Prof. Kamakoti, Director IIT-Madras, Mahamahopadyaya Mani Dravid Shastrigal, Mahamahopadyaya Devdutt Patil, Sri Devanatha Acharya participated in the event. They lauded the efforts of the Gurukulam over past 4 years, and talked about how this type of education builds strong analytical skills required for AI world, advantages of Sanskrit based Shastra education and new career opportunities opening up now for such scholars.
4 students from Medha Gurukulam, who passed the tough exams on Shastras, conducted at Tenali and Ahmednagar, were given scholarships during the event. A 3 day Shastra Sabha with 20 scholars from all over India was also organized.
Medha Gurukulam is located at No.8, 11th Street, Nanganallur (near Anjaneyar temple), and is run by Medha Educational & Charitable Trust, Palavakkam. All are welcome to visit and interact with the students. It was started by Ramsamy Subramani in 2021, after working in Microsoft USA and returning back to India.
