Penakkal Peravai a Literary forum organized an event titled “Kadandhu Vandha Paathai” at Anna Centenary Library campus Kotturpuram. Poornima Bhagyaraj (Actress) was a special participant.
During this event, welfare assistance including folding wheel chairs were given to two differently abled persons and education assistance, medical assistance worth Rs.75,000  were distributed to poor and needy people. 
N. C. Mohandas (Founder of Penakkal Peravai), State General Secretary of Tamilnadu Udavikkaram Association for the Welfare of Differently abled Dr. K. Gopinath, Founder of Chennai Sai Thunai Matrimonials Dr. Saisankara Panchapakesan, Writer Lena Tamilvanan and other dignitaries participated and graced the event.
