Aavin Women’s Welfare Society celebrated its 24th Annual Women’s Day at T.Nagar recently. Social Activist and State General Secretary of TamilNadu Udavikkaram Association for the welfare of differently abled (TNUAWDA), Dr. K. Gopinath (residing in K.K. Nagar) won the first prize in the poetry competition.
Aavin Managing Director John Louis, I.A.S., and Director General of Police and Aavin Chief Vigilance Officer Rajiv Kumar I. P. S. jointly presented the trophy to Gopinath. 
Aavin Joint Managing Director Kavitha, I.A.S., President of the Aavin Women’s Welfare Society Sivakamasundari, Assistant Professor Tripurasudamani from D.R.B.C.C. Hindu College, Pattabiram, Aavin General Manager (Finance) Anbumani, General Manager (Planning) Sathya, Deputy General Manager (Finance) Vanitha and others were present in the event.
