In connection with World Kidney Day, Kauvery Hospital,  Alwarpet, оrganised a unique initiative , designed to offer a refreshing pause from routine for individuals undergoing dialysis and their families on March 23 at DakshinaChitra.
The programme brought together participants, along with doctors and care teams, in a relaxed and culturally engaging environment beyond the hospital setting. The initiative was conceptualised to provide a change of pace from regular treatment schedules, enabling participants to step away from the clinical environment and experience a day centred around comfort, connection and shared moments.
The day included curated cultural experiences, light activities, standup comedy and interactions, allowing participants and their families to unwind and engage with one another in a warm and supportive atmosphere.
The presence of doctors and care teams further strengthened thesense of continuity in care, while fostering deeper bonds beyond the traditional caregiver–patient relationship.
The initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to holistic healthcare-where emotional well-being and quality of life are considered just as important as clinical outcomes.
