SRM Institute of Science and Technology students participates in India–South Korea cultural interaction program
The students of SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Kattankulathur, participated in a vibrant India–South Korea cultural interaction program organised by InKo Centre in collaboration with the Department of Language, Culture & Society, SRM University, on March 6 at the InKo Centre, Chennai.
The event celebrated the friendship between India and South Korea through a series of engaging Korean cultural and interactive activities. Students enthusiastically took part in sessions introducing the Korean language, traditions, and cultural practices, promoting cross-cultural understanding and global learning.
The program was conducted under the visionary leadership of Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar, Chancellor of SRM University. The initiative was guided by Dr. L. Kavitha Nair, Professor and Head of the Department of Language, Culture & Society, SRMIST, and Dr. Rathi Jafer, Director of InKo Centre.
The event was successfully coordinated through the dedicated efforts of Pulkit Sharma and Jasmine Ankita Bage, Assistant Professors of Korean at SRMIST, who facilitated student participation in various Korean cultural activities.
Earlier, Pulkit Sharma had also discussed this cultural initiative at the Embassy of India, Seoul in the Republic of Korea, where officials at the Chancery appreciated his dedication to promoting academic and cultural engagement between Indian students and Korean cultural institutions.
The program highlighted the growing academic and cultural ties between India and South Korea while providing students with a valuable platform to experience Korean culture firsthand and strengthen international cultural exchange.
