Convocation Ceremony for the skill trainee students

Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya Samithi for which Mahatma Gandhi laid foundation in 1946 and presently headed by two Senior Gandhians – Prof.Dr.Sankar Kumar Sanyal, President, Harijan Sevak Sangh and Dr.S.Pandian organized Convocation Ceremony for the successful trainees of skill training in MRAC & Central Plant -19, Tailoring -33, Beautician -27 and Carpentry -5.
Dr.M.S. Shanmugam IAS., (Secretary to Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu) was the chief guest of the event.
The following students have shared their experience. While sharing the experiences, Ganitha who completed Hair stylist course under TNSDC said due to the short duration I could complete and start earning and suggested I start Advance Training.
Radha, Beautician Trainee said the training is helpful to us to earn and also to help others in our own possible way. S. Lakshmi, Trainee in Tailoring said the training given in stitching of variety of dresses like blouse, chudidar gave us confidence in life.
Bargavi of Tailoring Trainee said that not only they have received training in Tailoring as per the syllabus but also taught us values and awareness on various social evils, extracurricular activities and helped to become a good citizen of the society.
Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya starting its next batch of free course in Tailoring, and Beautician in May and Electrician, Wireman, MRAC, Carpentry   after the announcement of results for 8th and 10th passed out students, supported by Blue Star Ltd.
Those who have no interest in studies and good at skills and those who have failed in exams and are  interested to learn basic skills for 1 year, till they complete their exams (Max. 1 year Period) offering  basic skill training in electrician, wireman, fitter, MRAC and Carpentry.
Dr.M.S. Shanmugam IAS., (Secretary to Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu) said that you should have an aim and work towards achieving it. He congratulated all those who have completed the training successfully and appealed that they should not stop with this but continue to go to higher levels. He said AI is replacing everything. But he added that Plumber and carpentry work is to be done by the manpower only. He said in Japan the majority of them are senior citizens. There is a lot of scope for jobs. Many Engineering colleges are teaching Japanese. He suggested learning as many languages as possible based on the need. He said he will tie up with start up missions, who are helping to become self-employed.
P.Maruthi (Secretary) welcomed the gathering and briefed about the training, employment of the successful Training and next batch training.
