Praajnyaa 26 held at D.G. Vaishnav College

The Department of Business Administration (BBA), Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College (Autonomous), Arumbakkam, organized a One Day National HR Conclave titled “Praajnyaa’26 – HR Futurix” on Jan.31 at the SRG Auditorium. The conclave focused on Gen Z workforce dynamics, future-ready HR practices, employee well-being, and leadership approaches suited to the changing expectations of the younger generation, in alignment with sustainable development goals 3 and 8. The programme commenced with an inaugural session under the guidance of Dr. S. Santhosh Baboo, Principal, and Dr. Ashok Kumar Mundhra, Secretary, the chief patron of the event. The conclave was organized by Dr. K. Rao Prashanth Jyoty, Associate Professor & Head i/c, BBA, with the active support of faculty coordinators Renu Kumari, Dr. S. Shankar, Dr. B. Esther Raani, and Ashwini Ravi, whose coordinated efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the programme.
The first technical session, titled “Navigating AI, Agility & Inclusion,” was delivered by S. Karthikeyan, CEO, Career Tree HR Solution, Chennai. He explained how artificial intelligence and agile HR practices are shaping Gen Z–driven workplaces, and highlighted the importance of inclusive organizational cultures in attracting, engaging, and retaining young talent.
The second session featured Indira Gandhi, General Manager – HR, Hi Living Projects, Chennai, who spoke on “Employees’ Well-Being and Mental Health.” She emphasized the growing importance of mental wellness, work–life balance, and supportive leadership, particularly in meeting the expectations and emotional needs of the Gen Z workforce.
Session 3 began with a panel discussion on the topic “The Role of Leadership in Shaping.
Gen Z Culture: Redefining Expectations and Dynamics,” featuring Sankar Narayanan Arumugam, Senior Manager – HR & IR, Simpson’s Group, Chennai, D. Bharanidharan,DGM – HR, Renault Group, Chennai, Duraivel Gopal, Co-Founder, Health Care AI, Chennai, Y.S. Anand, Assistant General Manager, Sundaram Finance, Chennai and Sarath Kumar, HR Manager, Jasmine Concrete Exports, Chennai. The panelists discussed Gen Z workplace expectations, leadership styles preferred by young professionals, communication patterns, career aspirations, and strategies for effectively managing and engaging Gen Z employees, drawing from their rich industry experience.
The conclave also witnessed the participation of students and faculty members from various colleges, which enriched the discussions and encouraged meaningful academic interaction. The programme concluded with a valedictory session marking the successful completion of the event.
Overall, Praajnyaa’26 – HR Futurix served as an effective platform for management students to gain deep insights into Gen Z–centric HR practices and future workforce challenges, reinforcing the department’s commitment to preparing students for the evolving world of work.
