Dhanyavarshini, Disciple of Guru K.P. Gokila Vani of Madurai Prashitham Natyakalalaya, performed solo on Jan.7 at the Shakti Sangita Sabha, Valasaravakkam. The recital was graced by the distinguished presence of Ramki (residing in Porur), Editor of the magazines Paattum Bharathamum, Malarvanam, and Mixed Bag, and Manikkavasagan, the driving force behind Shakti Sangita Sabha and K.P. Gokila Vani attentively witnessing the performance. The repertoire at Shakti Sangita Sabha showcased depth and classicism, highlighted by the revered varnam “Innum En Manam” in Charukesi, composed by Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman. At the conclusion of the recital, Ramki honoured Dhanyavarshini with a shawl on behalf of Paattum Bharathamum, appreciating her performance and commitment to classical dance and Manikkavasagan felicitated the young dancer with a memento shield of Shakti Sangita Sabha, acknowledging her quality of the presentation.
