Vande Mataram Celebration

The 150th Vande Mataram celebration was observed with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on Nov.7 at Sri Chaitanya Techno Senior Secondary School, Manapakkam. The entire school community assembled on the ground to commemorate this historic occasion.
The event commenced with the Principal, Swathi Srinivasan, initiating the rendition of Vande Mataram. All the students and staff joined together in unison, their voices resonating with pride and devotion towards the nation. The atmosphere was filled with a deep sense of respect and patriotism.
As part of the celebration, students were enlightened about the history, significance, and origin of Vande Mataram. They learned that the song was composed by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in the year 1875, and later became a symbol of India’s freedom movement, inspiring generations of Indians during the struggle for independence.
The programme served as a reminder of India’s rich cultural and historical legacy, instilling in students a renewed sense of national pride and unity. The celebration concluded with a pledge to uphold the values of patriotism and respect for the nation.
