As part of the Daan Utsav celebrations, Thuvakkam announces Eegai Thiruvizha 2025, a week-long festival dedicated to the spirit of giving and volunteering. Scheduled from  September 27 to  October 7 across Chennai, the initiative aims to inspire people from all walks of life to come together for a noble cause, serving the underserved sections of society through donations, service, and compassion.
The Eegai Thiruvizha is designed as a collective celebration, combining events that foster kindness, gratitude, community bonding, and environmental awareness. From youth-led engagements to meaningful donation drives, Thuvakkam invites citizens, donors, and volunteers to be active participants in creating a ripple of positive change.
Event Highlights:
October 3: Connect with Home (8.30am – 12.30pm) – Annai Anblaya Trust
Spreading joy and companionship with elders through shared conversations and activities.
October 4: Gratitude Day (6.30pm – 8.30pm)) – Thuvakkam Headquarters
A heartfelt gathering to appreciate the contributions of changemakers and citizens. Thuvakkam Readers Club (4.30pm – 5.30pm)) – Sivan Park, K.K. Nagar.
A reflective space exploring stories of generosity and togetherness.
October 5:  Community Food Drive (11.30am– 1.30pm)) – Avvai Nidhi Middle School, Tambaram. Feeding hope and happiness by serving nutritious meals to the underserved.
October 7: Eco Tour – Urban Forests (9.30am– 2.30pm)) – Sardar Patel Park, Kundrathur.
An engaging environmental tour connecting families and children to Chennai’s green cover.

Thuvakkam extends an open invitation to volunteers and donors to take part in Eegai Thiruvizha 2025.
