Kothandaraman Vasudevan, (a resident of Iyyapanthangal) won gold in the 60+ Men’s Singles and bronze in the 50+ Men’s Doubles events at the 7th Tamil Nadu State Level Pickleball Championship conducted by Tamil Nadu Pickleball Association (TNPA), a member of the Indian Pickleball Association. This 4 day spectacle concluded on September 14. A mega event with close to 500 men and women participants in the age group of 5 to 78, this was held at the Pickler’s Arena, Iyyapanthangal. Pickler’s Arena with its 6 brand new courts, has the largest and best laid courts (to international court specifications) and pickleball complex in Chennai and Tamil Nadu. Pickleball is currently the fastest growing popular racket sport across the world and India.
