Maha Sankatahara Chaturthi is an auspicious day dedicated to Bhagavan Ganesha, will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 12, 2025. This day is observed on the fourth day (Chaturthi) of the waning moon phase (Krishna Paksha).
Significance of Sankatahara:
“Sankatam” refers to hardships, and “Hara” means to remove them. Sankashti Chaturthi is specifically observed for overcoming hardships. Fasting and worshipping on Sankata hara Chaturthi help eliminate hurdles & challenges in one’s life, performing the rituals collectively as a family strengthens familial bonds and paves the way for Blissful life.
