Dr.Dharani Ramakrishna (Founder of Saraswathi Natyalaya) received ‘Nattiya Acharya’ award from Saraswathi Kalanikethan Institute of Culture during their 33^rd anniversary and Acharya felicitation program in a function held on April 18 at Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Kilpauk.
The award was presented by Ramjee (Chief Editor, Makkal Kural Newspaper) in presence of Dr. G. Saraswathy (Founder Director of Saraswathi Kalanikethan Institute of Culture).
Dharani Ramakrishna and her students performed special Bharthanatyam program in Sri Subramanyaswamy Temple , Kula Lumpur, Malaysia as part of Panguni Uthiram festival on April 11.
Dharani Ramakrishna performed hundreds of Bharthanatyam programs at various venues and received many awards from reputed cultural organisations.
She is conducting Bharthanatyam class for more than 3 decades.
