Exhibition of three iconic Female Artists

Goethe-Institut, Chennai in association with SNS Arts Development Consultancy, the Kala Collective and in collaboration with Alliance Française, Madras is delighted to present The Female Legacy Project. An exhibition spotlighting 3 iconic Female Artists from Tamil Nadu – Narthaki Nataraj (Bharatanatyam), Seethalakshmi (Shadow Puppetry) and Usha Rani (Tamil Theatre). The exhibition is brought to life through the creative expressions of 4 creators – Bhuvana Sekar and Habiba Begum (Photo and Video), Sahitya Rani (Illustrator) and Saritha Rao (Writer). The exhibition will be inaugurated on April 4(Friday) on 5pm at Alliance Française, Madras, Nungambakkam. The exhibition is open from April 5 to April 13 at 10am to 7 pm and Exhibition Guided Tours from 11.30am to 5.30pm. Special Guided Tour in Bharatanatyam Language is available on April 4,5,6,12 and 13 at 5.30pm. Along with this exhibition, number of events, performances and workshops will be held relating to the topic of Legacy and the artists.      All are welcome.
