Multi-Speciality Government Hospital Differently Abled Persons Employees Association (MGHDPEA)  jointly with Tamilnadu Udavikkaram Association for the welfare of Differently abled(TNUAWDA)”, K.K. Nagar & Congregation of Disabled Peoples  Organization, organised for  a  thanks giving meeting  in the name of  “Ellap Pughazhum  Mudhalvarukke”  on March 26 at Chennai District Collectors office. In the  meeting, State President  of MGHDPEA Sethupathy, State President Varadakutti and State General Secretary K. Gopinath of TNUAWDA,  Secretary  of Congregation of Disabled Peoples Organization Chidambaram  and many others participated and expressed their thanks to the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu,  for the various welfare measures and schemes implemented by him to the upliftment and  cause of the differently abled persons  living allover TamilNadu, including the recent announcement made by  the Honourable Chief Minister of Tamilnadu, offering 4% reservation  to Differently Abled Persons in Local bodies,  by means of Nomination. 
Further in the meeting, a request has been kept by the joint forum to the Chief Minister of Tamilnadu M.K.Stalin, requesting  him to implement the Government Order No. 151, issued by the then former  Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi, assuring regularisation of Differently Abled Government  Employees, employed  in various Government  Departments/undertakings on temporary/adhoc/non-regular basis, who have worked for 2 years and more, by  fixing  them in  regular  time scale of pay, benefitting  thousands of differently abled Government  Employees  and their families. 
More than 250 differently abled Goverment Employees/members of MGHDPEA all over Tamilnadu participated in the thanks giving meeting. ***
