Thiruvallur district National Green Corps (NGC) has conducted one day exhibition on sustainable lifestyle practices at Immaculate School, Avadi by involving 170 students from 85 schools all over the district.
Green committee member G.Thangaraj inaugurated the exhibition competitions in the presence of Dr.Thirugnanasambandam CEO Rohini Herbalaya and HM Sister Mercy. 
Exhibits focused on solar energy, water conservation, climate change, herbal garden, e-waste, gardening, food systems, healthy life styles etc. and were being evaluated by scientists, environmentalists and college professors.
Poonamallee, Ayapakkam, Anaikattucherry, Mittanamalli govt. schools and Immaculate School were honoured with cash prizes Rs.35000 by Dr.Balasubramanian, Arivukkan Alagarasan and Ln.Balakrishnan.
Earlier all participants were given refreshments, lunch, cloth bags, Arivukkan magazine, Parijatham herbals,fruits and vilvam juice.
