Celebration of Alpha Kalakrithi 2025

Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur organised 2-Day inter-collegiate Tech Fest and Cultural Extravaganza in association with CII-Yi, Chennai Chapter on Feb.27 and Feb.28 in its premises. The chief guest for the inaugural was M. Varan Mittal, CEO of Manasvi Steel. A host of special invitees from CII-Yi, Chennai Chapter graced the inaugural with their presence. Dr. A. Sivasankar, Principal, AASC, presided over the event.
Day 1 witnessed a galaxy of eleven Technical Events like Project Presentation, E-Poster Presentation, Data Analysis and Visualization Challenge, Pick Chain Challenge, Film Festival, Business Plan, MIS Prototype Design, UI/UX Design, Picture Description and Turn A Coat(Tamil and English) were a major attraction to both students and guests alike.
Day 1 technical events Yi judges were Tobin Jose, Director of Santa Maria International, Yi chair Chennai Chapter for MIS Prototype Design, Mahesh Vasan UHNIs Family offices for Project Presentation, Edgar Solomon Founder of Eddy studio for Pick Chain Challenge, Mahima Mehta Founder MWM productions for Film Festival, Aravinth Rajagopal, corporate Lawyer, Eshwars Advocates – House of Corporate & IPR Laws for Business Plan, Janani Iyer, Co founder of Digi pro for UI/UX Design and Archana Yedanapalli is the Managing Director of Urbanascence LLP and the Chair of Accessibility Vertical at Young Indians Chennai for Picture Description.
On Day 2 a host of On-Stage and Off- Stage events that showcased the awesome talent of students from various colleges. The chief guest was John Vijay, Actor, Radio jockey (RJ), and Educator, known for his roles in Tamil films as well as his work as an RJ and in educational initiatives. Rajmohan Arumugam, Comedian, Motivational speaker, Radio jockey, Writer and Orator, was the Guest of Honour. The onstage events conducted include Instrumental Solo, MIME, Adapt Tune, Style Odysee, Solo Singing and Group Dance. The off stage events conducted such as JAM, Story Writing, Vegetable Carving, T-Shirt Designing, Face Painting and Ilakiya Mandhar.
The Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Nandhagopalan, Actor & Choreographer along with Principal Dr. A.Sivasankar, AASC gave away the prizes. More than 600 students from nearly 63 colleges, including Loyola, DRBCC, Saveetha Liberal Arts, SRM College, MAHER and Guru Nanak participated in the event. The overall Championship Trophy was won by Saveetha Liberal Arts and the Runners Up Trophy was won by DRBCC College.
