The Private ITI district level sports meet was successfully conducted on Feb.12 at St. Joseph’s ITI, Don Bosco Campus, Puliyanthope. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various ITIs, with students showcasing their athletic skills and sportsmanship.
Students from Thakkar Bapa Vidyalaya ITI, Chennai, delivered an outstanding performance, securing victories in multiple events. Balachandru (Electrician Senior), emerged as one of the top athletes, securing first place in the 100m sprint and shot put, along with a commendable second place in the 800m race. Mukesh (Electrician Junior), dominated the 200m sprint, clinching the first position, while Sivaguru (Wireman Senior), secured second place in the 400m race, demonstrating remarkable endurance.
In addition to track and field events, Sabarinath (Fitter Junior), showcased his strategic thinking and skills, winning first place in chess. The volleyball team put up a strong fight and finished as runners-up, displaying excellent teamwork and coordination.
The impressive performance of the students has earned them a spot in the upcoming zonal level sports meet, where they will compete against top athletes from other districts.
