More than 200 MTC drivers and other staffs at Adyar MTC depot were underwent free eye screening camp in a program jointly organised by Greater Chennai Traffic Police, Metropolitan Transport. Chennai Corporation and Radhatri Nethralaya on Jan.25 at MTC Depot Sasthri Nagar, Adyar on occasion of Road Safety Month.
The program was inaugurated by Archana Ramachandran (IPS., Ex.DGP and Former member of Lokpal) in presence of S. Megalina Iden (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Adyar), Dr.Vasumathy Vedantham (Medical Director, Radhatri Nethralaya), K. Baskaran (Assistant Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Adyar) C. Murugan (Inspector, Traffic,Adyar), V. Vardharajan Safety Manager, MTC), C. Krishnakumar (Manager, MTC Depot, Adyar) and other eminent personalities.
Aim of the program is create traffic awareness and safety measures in the road safety to MTC drivers and general public.
Radhatri Nethralaya were given free spectacles for diagnosed persons and also support other eye related problems to the camp participants under their ‘Project Vision Drivers’.
