Onam Celebration was conducted by Mugalivakkam Nair Welfare Association on Oct.20 SAK Jai Maruti Hall, Porur. The program began with games and activities followed by Chendamelam.
After lighting the Bhadradeepam, Joint Secretary Ambili sang the prayer song and Rajendran Nair led the Acharya Smarana. Secretary Uma Chander Sekhar delivered a welcome address and the President K. P. Venugopal delivered the presidential address. Chief guest Dr. Arun, and the guests of honor V.K.T. Nair, Sri Gopakumaran Nair and P.V. Balan and K.N Murthy were felicitated. Sponsors Ramki (Journalist and Cartoonist) and Surender were also honoured and ash award to Puja for her academic achievements. 
After the Prathinidhi Sammelanam, various cultural programs began, with enthusiastic participation from members. A lucky draw followed, with three prizes awarded. Gifts were distributed to all participants.
Treasurer Ramya Jayasudan delivered the vote of thanks. All attendees enjoyed the Onasadhya. The event was supported by Honey selling team and Chemmannur Jewellers in the event.
