CAPA celebrates 50th anniversary

Padma Shri Chitra Visweswaran’s Chidambaram Academy of Performing Arts (CAPA)  celebrating its 50th anniversary with a special event, Samanvay a confluence on Sept.28 and 29 from 5.30pm to 8.30pm in Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Mylapore. CAPA has nurtured and shaped generations of dancers, teachers, musicians, choreographers, and researchers. With a holistic approach to both dance and music, CAPA is renowned for its high professional standards in national and international stages.
Samanvay a confluence is a mark to celebrate the 50th anniversary of CAPA and usher in the festive season of Dussehra and Navarathri . The weekend will be filled with performances from Sikkil Gurucharan, Anil Srinivasan, Dushyanth Sridhar, Puppetry show from Karnataka and the students of Chidambaram dance company. This event is held in partnership with Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, The Ministry of Culture, and Shreya Nagarajan Singh Arts Development Consultancy.
