Freedom Trust provides mobility aid for differently abled persons
Freedom Trust, a non-profit organization (Thiruvanmiyur) that was founded in 1996, conducts camps in rural areas, town & villages for mobility and rehabilitation for PWD’s for limb fitting and enables the amputees to walk with their newly fitted limbs. Each mobility aid is custom made for the beneficiary and the process ensures fitment. The project also helps children and adults with disabilities, providing them with wheelchairs, auxiliary crutches, standing frames, calipers, cp chairs, foldable walkers special furniture and shoes.
Freedom trust jointly with Amar Seva Sangam distributed artificial limbs and mobility aids to 124 beneficiaries on Aug.30 at Ayyakudi. The function was graced by the Rehabilation officer of Vocational rehabilitation Parameshwar. The secretary of Amar Seva Sangam Shankar Raman welcomed everyone. The camp was sponsored by Vara future LLP of Vardhman Jain and represented by Elavendan. The president of Amar Seva Sangam Ramakrishnan and T. Deepak Kumar Gupta from DPO’s & NGO’s and social activist Senthil Kumar were also present in the event. The camp was coordinated by Sudarshan Reddy from freedom trust.
