Alpha celebrates Teachers Day
The Alpha Arts and Science College organized Teacherโs Day celebration on Sept. 5 to honour and appreciate the dedication of its faculty.
The event began with a Bible reading by S. Jenitha (BBA, Shift-1) and a prayer led by Dr.G. Selva Mangai (HOD, Biotechnology, Shift-1), setting a reflective tone for the gathering. Dr. Gayathri (HOD, Computer Science, Shift-1) welcomed the attendees, followed by a presidential address from Principal Dr. A. Sivasankar, who praised the faculty contributions and emphasized the importance of professional development. Teacherโs Day speeches were delivered by S. Kavitha (Head of Visual Communication) and Dr. R. Sathya (Head of Computer Application Shift II), both offering inspiring insights into the teaching profession.
The celebration featured engaging activities which promoted team spirit among the faculty. Competitions like colour game and blind fold games conducted and alpha faculty participated with lots of energy & won prizes. Additionally, the event included cultural performances, where faculty members showcased their talents in singing, dancing and poetry. Gifts were distributed to all faculty members as a token of appreciation, and the event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. S. Srimathi (Head of Corporate Secretaryship).
The celebration was a success, highlighting the important role of teachers in shaping the future.
