Alpha Arts and Science College hosted Synergy 2024 an inter-school extravaganza on August 30 bringing together over 1000 students from 35 schools across three districts Thiruvallur, Chennai and Kanchipuram.
The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including chief guest Dr. J. Daniel Chellappa, a renowned nuclear scientist and other distinguished guests Seva Ratna Dr. Grace George, Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions, Suja George, Vice Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions, George John, Head Operations & Administration, Alpha Group of Institutions, and Dr. A. Sivasankar, Principal , Alpha Arts and Science College.
The Chief Guest Dr. J. Daniel Chellappa (Eminent Nuclear Scientist) engaged in an interactive discussion with students, sharing valuable insights and inspiring them to reach their full potential. Dr. Chellappa stated “A spark can create wonders in life.” He also shared anecdotes from his research experiences where he encountered setbacks and failures. Principal Dr. A. Sivasankar expressed his gratitude to the participants, dignitaries and organizers stating, “Synergy 2024 embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation, motivating students to strive for excellence and make a positive impact.”
The event featured an array of competitions including Cultural Performances, Monoacting, Quizzes, Business Brains, Film Festival, Tech League, Cook without Fire and many more events providing a platform for students to showcase their skills and talents.
The event concluded with a valedictory function, where winners were awarded with cash prizes and certificates and participants received appreciation certificate for their enthusiastic involvement.
The overall Championship Trophy was won by Montfort School and the Runner Up Trophy by Velammal Vidyalaya, Paruthipattu. The scintillating one day event drew to a close on a note of goodwill. Synergy 2024 will be remembered as a resounding success, fostering connections, creativity and a shared passion for learning among students, educators, and the community.
