RYA Book Bank distributes Additional books

The Additional Book Distribution event for the first batch of 1000 students was held on June 9 at RYA Premises, Vepery. RYA has been rendering yeoman services in the field of education for the past six decades.
Gyanesh Jain, Vice President RYA while welcoming the gathering said that more than 2500 new beneficiaries are being added every years. He also highlighted the various welfare schemes being under taken by RYA and its affiliates. Book Bank Chairman S. Dilip Kumar Jain, mentioned that textbooks were distributed to needy college students without distinction of caste, creed or religion. This project has covered more than 1,50,000 students till date. He also added, “I am proud to mention out of 10000 existing beneficiaries 1000 students are being distributed Books for their next academic semester. We are covering more than 150 colleges in and around Chennai, Chengalpattu and Kanchipuram.” The books distributed cover courses ranging from Arts, Commerce, Science and Engineering. Chairman informed that online application for the coming academic year 2024-2025 are opened and students joining this year can register online @ ryabookbank.com to avail free text books.
The event was graced by J. Radhakrishnan IAS, Commissioner, Greater Chennai Corporation as chief guest. He witnessed the entire working of book bank and said that organization like these have become great catalyst in building the career of many budding citizens of the country. Chief Guest also distributed token sets of Books to students and appreciated the work done by Rajasthani community in state of Tamil Nadu. Guest of honor was Parasmalji Choudhary. The Master of Ceremony was done by Trustee Vivek Bomb. Past president of RYA, Past Book Bank chairman and members were present in the event.
RYA Joint Secretary Rajesh Jain delivered the vote of Thanks.
