Sustainable lifestyle Environment awareness programmes were conducted in Chennai and Thiruvallur Districts as per the guidelines by Department of Environment and Climate Change Govt. of Tamil Nadu through cultural artists Street Play and puppet shows.
Thangaraj Chennai District National Green Corps coordinator during the inauguration campaign at Government Higher secondary school, Kathivakkam detailed the ill effects of single use plastics, carry bags etc and also insisted the students to use cycles, and to walk to the nearest places and to avoid air pollutions.
Cultural artists performance on Karagattam, Thappattam, Puppet shows, Street Plays and folk dances attracted the students, public and took pledge on minimising the garbages etc.
Earlier Environmentalist Ramesh briefed the day to day activities to be carried out by every individual to follow Life style for better environment.
