Alpha organises Interaction 2024 Faculty Seminar
The Interaction 2024 Faculty Seminar organised by Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur was conducted on January 19 in its premises. The Resource Person was Dr. Hema Gopal, the former Vice President of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS). Suja George, Vice Chairperson, Alpha Group of Institutions and Dr. A. Sivasankar, Principal, Alpha Arts and Science College were the dignitaries present on this occasion.ย The beneficiaries of this Seminar were the faculty of Computer Science branches. The purpose was to address gaps between curriculum and industry expectations as well as the value addition that could be offered to enhance career readiness in students. She emphasized several key points during her insightful seminar at Interaction 2024.
Dr. Hema Gopal advocated hands on learning by urging teachers to actively assist students in debugging, fostering a practical understanding of coding and problem solving. She advised incorporating work breakdown structure methodologies and conducting project reviews as a group, fostering collaboration and comprehensive project management skills. She recommended leveraging NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) resources for teachers to enhance their skills and stay abreast of the latest developments in technology. She concluded by introducing the Kano model, emphasizing its relevance in understanding customer or user satisfaction and encouraging its incorporation into educational methodologies.
