As per the instructions from Ministry of Environment Forest and climate change Govt. of India and with the guidance, guidelines of department of Environment and climate change 50 students and 10 teachers from the best national Green Corps units were involved in the 3 days National Nature camping program in Nanmangalam forest, Pallikaranai Eco park, Karappakkam birds watch and Vandalur Zoological Park.
Thangaraj (Chennai District Coordinator NGC lead the students with forest, zoo officials and resource persons Dr.Ram Manohar, Dr.Babu, Dr.Joe Prakash and Vasanth Kumar.
Identification of trees, birds, importance of conservation and biodiversity etc. are the components. All students felt that it’s a real time experience to see animals, birds, trees,adoption and marsh lands etc.
Earlier Vidhya Sagar (Correspondent of Vidhya Matric. School, Jalladampet flagged off the event and sent the students to the forest areas and the green pledge was administered by Shanthi, Eco Coordinator.
