Karthika festival is an important festival for Tamils. Wherever Tamils are spread across the world, they are celebrating this traditional festival with joy. One of the highlights of the month of Karthikai is Thiru Karthikai Deepam festival. On this day it is customary to light lamps in houses and worship.
This festival is observed on the full moon day of the month of Karthika and also on the star day of Kartika. This year Karthikai Deepam festival will be celebrated on Nov.26.
If we fast and worship Lord Shiva on the day of Karthikai Deepam, Lord Shiva will save us from any kind of trouble in our life. Sins are lost and one can live a comfortable life in this birth.
