As a part of National Clean Air program, an awareness demonstration on one time use and throw away plastics (single use plastics) was held in St. Anne’s Women’s college, Madhavaram with 300 students.
Thangaraj, District Coordinator National Green Corps(NGC) spoke on green good deeds to be followed by every individual in the presence of TNPCB Environmental Engineers Dharshika and Kesava Murthy.
All participants were given cloth bags and students were instructed to follow the guidelines to make campus green and clean by Dean Benetict Kumari and Principal Annammal Arputhamary. Earlier fruit bearing saplings were planted by Dr. Srinivasan Health education officer, Greater Chennai Corporation.
