G20 Summit 2023

The G20 Heads of State and Government Summit, held on September 9-10, 2023, marked a momentous occasion for India as it hosted this prestigious event for the very first time. Under the visionary leadership of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the summit unfolded at the Bharat Mandapam International Exhibition-Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The theme of the G20 Summit 2023 was Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam, which translates to One Earth, One Family, One Future. In Delhi, there was a three-day shutdown ordered for schools, offices, businesses, markets, restaurants, and other stores.
The ​G20, which originated in 1999 as a response to the Asian financial crisis, initially served as an informal forum for ​finance ministers and ​central bank governors from ​developed and developing economies. The 2023 G20 New Delhi summit was the eighteenth meeting of G20 (Group of Twenty). However, after the global financial crisis in 2008, it was expanded to include the heads of state from member countries. Every year, the G20 Presidency rotates. The G20 Summit 2023 tackled a wide range of crucial global topics aimed at shaping a better world. These included of Women Empowerment, Health,Culture and Tourism and  Russia-UkraineWar.
In conclusion, the G20 Summit 2023 in Delhi was not just a gathering of world leaders, it was a testament to India’s commitment to shaping a better world. It was an opportunity for India to lead by example, and it’s a reminder that we, the youth of India, are an integral part of this global family working towards One Earth, One Family, and One Future.
