The Valedictory and Farewell Ceremony for III year students of Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur, recently held in the college premises. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Dr. A. Sivasankar (Principal), Dr. Benita Merlin(Vice Principal), Dr. Tamizharasai (Coordinator of Shift II)were the other dignitaries present on the occasion.
The Programme began with the welcome address by Dr. Tamizharasai (Coordinator of Shift II and Head, Department of Tamil). 
This was followed by the presidential address on the occasion of the Valedictory and Farewell by Dr. A. Sivasankar (Principal). Through an a-v presentation, the Principal communicated important life skills and values that would ensure the success of the final year students as they stepped out of college.  This was followed by the distribution of Merit Certificates to winners of competitions organized by Departments, Clubs and Cells. 
The Principal along with the other dignitaries on the dais next distributed the Certificates of Appreciation to students of the final year for exemplary service to the Department, Cell or Club during the three-year period. Heads of Departments and Clubs incharge expressed their appreciation to the students for their committee service and involvement. Dr. Gayathri (Staff-in-Charge, Student Forum, and Head, Department of Computer Science) delivered the vote of thanks.
