Sensibly utilizing the experience of his 12 year journey as IT consultant, Sree who has been eternally passionate about Filmmaking, took the opportunity to learn the art at the New York Film Academy, during one of his stints in the USA. And what happened after that is the cornerstone of this story.
Looking back, when Chennai gave him the apple of his life, a woman he met while at his first job after graduation, he felt that moving to this city was one of the best decisions of his life. 12 years later, his family members stood by him when he took the boldest step ever to give-up the green card, leave his life in the USA and move back to Chennai to pursue his passion for Filmmaking. This was undoubtedly the most rewarding experience of his life, as it forms the very core of where he stands today.
Eight friends, tea breaks bonding, an entrepreneurial dream, weekend filmmaking experience, and the light bulb moment of his Co-Founding Partner Arunsankar Kumarakurubaran gave birth to 8 Spades Advertising. With the first two projects coming from their close-knit community and all the hard work that went toward creating outstanding videos, need to go beyond content creation led to a huge overhaul of their game plan – the transformation of 8Spades Advertising into an integrated marketing agency that creates and distributes content for brands to the intendedaudience. This model has done wonders for the team landing a variety of clients across sectors (FMCG, Power & Infra, Automotive, Fintech, Edtech, Real Estate, eSports, Finance, etc.).
Now, none of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of his wife, family and friends. So, by the way, what he claims was the best decision of his life, is indeed the best decision of his life.
