Leo Academy of Excellence Senior Secondary School (Anna Nagar) celebrated Leo Pongal, The Harvest festival on Jan. 12 in its premises.  Students and parents reported in their traditional and colourful attire. The festival started with the prayer song invoking God’s blessings followed by various events like Uri Adi, Sugarcane breaking and Kayaru izhuthal (Tug of War) were designed in a manner to evoke and expose the students and parents latent talents.
The Preparation of Pongal in a traditional way with colourful Rangoli exhibited our true culture and traditional art forms. The students took turns to enjoy the bullock cart ride and merry go-round. Many mouth-watering stalls were exhibited to give a feast for the food lovers. It was an ambience-filled revelry, music and joyful faces reverberated with big smiles.
