As per the instructions from Ministry of Environment Forest and climate change Govt. of India and guidelines by Department of Environment and climate change Govt. of Tamil Nadu, a puppet show was conducted in NKT Teacher training college, Triplicane by involving 750 students including school children. G. Thangaraj, Chennai District National Green Corps Coordinator during the inauguration stressed the importance of life style practices to be followed by every individual.

The Arivukkan cultural team with Karagattam and puppet show explained the ill effects of single use plastics, usages of solar, electric vehicles, bicycles and millets. Also rain water harvesting, e-Waste management also explained through puppets. These awareness programs are being conducted in all the districts by Department of Environment. Dr. Chamundeeswari, Principal NKT college welcomed the gathering and insisted the students to practice all green good deeds. Dr. Jayashree Priyadarshini, Professor proposed the Vote of thanks.
