Inter Collegiate Techno-Cultural Fest held in Alpha Arts and Science College

Alpha Arts and Science College, Porur in association with CII-Yi, Chennai Chapter organised Alpha Kalakrithi – Inter Collegiate Techno-Cultural Fest from May 5 to May 7. 
The Inaugural of Alpha Kalakrithi began with all due fervor and enthusiasm on May 5.
The Chief Guest for the Inaugural was Raj Bharat (Brand Connoisseur, Tech Enthusiast,Mentor, Founder & Managing Director:ThinkComm, CANIT Solutions, Chennai). A host of invitees from CII-Yi, Chennai Chapter graced the inaugural with their presence. Dr. A.Sivasankar (Principal of Alpha Arts and Science College), Dr. Benita Merlin (Vice Principal) and Dr. Tamizharasi (Shift II Coordinator) presided over the event.
The first day focused on Tech Fests with a host of 18 events like Chat Bot Creators, Theatre Workshop, Code Debugging, Think and Link, Creative Story Board and Circuitics. Day two was choc-a-bloc with a range of 14 cultural competitions, both on-stage and off-stage such as Debate, Declamation, Group Dance Folk, Mime, Mehendi, Enact-a-Scene (Tamil), Shipwreck and BeatBox and Comic-2Strip. Day 3 witnessed 11 competitions like Adaptune, Group Singing, Story Telling, Lyric Writing, JAM (English and Tamil), Clay Modelling and T-Shirt Designing.
The 3-Day Fest ended with the Valedictory. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory was Balaji Thiyagarajan Dayalan (VJ of Sun music fame) and Srinath (Engineer, Educationalist and Silambam fire act performer, actor and mimicry artist). Principal, Vice Principal and Shift II Coordinator were the other dignitaries who graced the event.
The cultural festival saw a turnout of 97 Colleges and nearly 800 students from all the city colleges like Stella Maris, Ethiraj, MCC, University of Madras, SRMC to name just a few, a press release said.
Students took home medals, certificates, trophies, pleasant memories and new friendships.
The college was also host to a colourful Alpha Bazaar where shops for food, clothes
and knick-knacks were patronized by both staff and student alike. The Cultural secretary delivered the vote of thanks where in the efforts of the management, coordinators, staff and technical team were acknowledged.
